Clean lines, light wood and splashes of colour – a new Luxury Boutique for a designer label has been created in Copenhagen according to the plans of French office RDAI for architecture, interior design and design.
The light and ease of the North are reflected in the chosen combination of materials, colours and shapes: naturally stained wood, dark blues, creamy whites and a presentation system featuring straight lines – a powerful backdrop for the label's colourful and archetypal silk scarves.

The challenges

The rails and shelves of the wooden frame system needed to be variable. The very high elements had to appear delicate, yet be robust. Thin steel frames were incorporated within the smallest of spaces, while cable ducts and transformers had to be integrated for the lighting.

Another challenge was the construction and manufacture of rotating cabinets for the store windows. Special techniques and fittings were necessary in order to facilitate easy and safe movement of these heavy structures.
